Jeff Howell is Chief Information Officer at Kabam, a world leader in AAA mobile free-to-play games. He is responsible for overseeing Kabam’s technologies and development practices for the Fuse game engine, Ember next generation rendering, Sparx backend and Kabam’s Business Intelligence platform.

Jeff has been working in the technology industry for more than two decades. Prior to his role at Kabam, Jeff was the CTO and Co-founder of Exploding Barrel Games which was acquired by Kabam in 2013. While at EBG, he led the group of engineers who built the Fuse and Sparx technologies.

Previously, Jeff spent 4 years at Electronic Arts where he was the technical director on the award winning SKATE franchise and at Relic Entertainment as a software engineer on The Outfit and Company of Heroes. Jeff is passionate about building strong engineering teams and technologies to bring players next-gen gaming experiences. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. In 2016, Jeff was invited to join Forbes Technology Council, an organization dedicated to the needs of leading technology executives.
